Well Bioprints Joins PRIME: Advancing Bioprinting Innovation Toward Commercialization

The PRIME Project, launched by the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP), is Poland’s only tailor-made acceleration program for knowledge and technology transfer, giving scientists a chance to develop new skills, test their market potential, and explore how their innovations could turn into viable ventures. The latest edition officially kicked off in June 2025 and brought together a new group of teams eager to refine their strategies, build collaborations, and take their first steps toward commercialization.

A key part of the program was the PRIME Bootcamp held from June 9 to 12, 2025, in Hotel Warszawianka in Warsaw, Poland. Over four intense days, our initiative Well Bioprints, led by Dr. Jan Guzowski and Postdoctoral Fellow Ronald Terrazas, took part in workshops and expert-led sessions under the guidance of  Oxentia (a PRIME Project partner). The Bootcamp was both challenging and inspiring, offering a unique chance to test our approach, receive direct feedback, and build connections that will be essential as we move forward.

Well Bioprints is a project focusing on developing a precision droplet bioprinter designed for combinatorial high-throughput functional screening of 3D tissue models in preclinical drug development. This technology could transform drug discovery by making it faster, more efficient, and better suited for complex biological systems. Taking part in PRIME helped us confirm our vision, improve our commercialization strategy, and connect with partners who share our belief in the potential impact of this platform.
