Jonathan Pullas Navarrete

PhD Student

I am a chemical engineer focused on solving problems in creative ways. While completing my master´s degree, I have learned the importance of applying classical strategies to modern-day projects. My experience at production-focused industries and research institutes has provided me with expertise in research, development, innovation that fit several investigation profiles. My academic background at both Escuela Politénica Nacional (Quito-Ecuador) and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Madrid-Spain) has equipped me with the ins and outs of business ethics, manufacturing within sustainable development principles, and project-oriented work responsibilities.

I am interested in deepening and increasing my knowledge of soft matter physics and chemistry, active materials, polymer science, synthesis techniques, spectroscopic analysis, advanced imaging characterization, and the acquisition of mathematical background to process modeling in different programming languages. Within the group, I will be involved in studying the dynamics of droplet self-assembly during printing processes on various substrates, optimizing the setup for robustness and biocompatibility, and classifying and explaining the obtained patterns.
