Jhaleh Amirian

Postdoctoral Researcher

I completed my B.Sc in Applied Chemistry in Razi University and M.Sc in Nano-Chemistry from Isfahan University in Iran. My Ph.D. degree was awarded on February 18, 2016, in Medical Science in the field of designing Biomaterials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine at SoonChunHyang University, South Korea; I worked as a Postdoctoral researcher in our institute’s lab for one year. After that, I joined as a postdoctoral researcher at Shenzhen University to develop my polymer science and technology knowledge. While studying Ph.D. and my Postdocs research in the biomaterial field, I have gained incredible experiences and knowledge on examining chemical modification effects on material properties and cell-materials interactions (in vitro & in vivo).

At present, I have joined as a postdoctoral researcher in the Dr. Jan Guzowski group (Soft Granular Matter and Tissue Engineering) at the Polish Academy of Science since October 2020. Currently, I am focusing on preparing an artificial pancreatic islet for the treatment of type 1 diabetes.
